"Before enlightenment:chopping wood and carrying water. After enlightenment:chopping wood and carrying water."

Without going outside, you may know the whole world.

Without looking through the window, you may see the ways of heaven.

The farther you go, the less you know.

--Lao Tsu

As we practice Tai Chi, most of us have brief moments of insight and clarity with respect to the art. We here at PTC would like to share some of our insights with other interested individuals. Toward that end, we offer this section entitled Achieving Mastery as a forum for teachers, students and friends of PTC to relate some of their experiences and perceptions regarding this extraordinary art. We will add new articles and essays frequently and, of course, we offer them with a sincere and humble spirit: in the hope that whatever we have learned may be of use to others walking the same path.
